Rajan Singh

Rajan SinghRajan Singh has vast experience in the media industry and has led him to travelling to and living in different regions of the world. He has led projects in South Africa, India, and New York to name a few. The main role he had was to take channels from their original country and distribute them into different countries around the world. Leading on from the initial distribution, revenue generation around the world was a very key part of his role.

He has worked for India’s three leading media companies, Zee Network as CEO, Sony Entertainment Television as EVP International and Star Network as EVP International.

With Sony Entertainment Television, he had multiple duties and challenges to face. Setting up distribution in UK, Europe, USA, Middle East, Africa, and Canada. This meant setting up relationships with channel platforms and potential clients. Along with that, setting up offices and sales agents around the world to take the company from a loss into a profit.

At Star network he increased channel distribution to every continent and developed it as the leading brand outside India where it was number 1.

Sony gave him the initiative to create marketing activities and events. This led to the creation of the British Asian Sports Awards, which proved to be a great success. Recently, his event experience has let him to explore interest into sports. Most notably, working alongside Sporting Equals, who specialize in promoting involvement in physical activity within the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, founding the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards – BEDSAs. The focus of the awards is to highlight the importance of grass root projects that encourage sports within disadvantage communities.

Dinesh Unadkat

DineshUnadkatDinesh is a customs, import and export consultant with some forty years of experience in all aspects compliance. His expertise cuts across small independent businesses to multinational corporations.

Before setting up his own practice in 1992, he was a Customs Specialist at Crossfield Electronics Ltd (part of DuPont & Fuji), where he was responsible for leading many assignments, including customs classification, valuation, and challenging Customs & Excise decisions.

Dinesh specializes in challenging HMRC indirect tax matters, including back duty claims made by customs, valuations, and classifications on behalf of clients. He was involved in the ill-fated CF2000 for over three years and had been on the CFSP – Audit Working Party (HMRC), watched CFSP develop from embryo through to launch in June 1998. He has also represented ACITA (The Automated Customs International Trade Association) and CPG (Customs Practitioners Group) at various HMRC working groups.

He is a successful negotiator with Customs & Excise (HMRC) on complex indirect tax issues including implementation of Customs / Bonded Warehouse facilities for both manufacturing & freight forwarders and a full member of The Institute of Export, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, The Automated Customs & International Trade Association (ACITA) and The Customs Practitioners Group (CPG).

Dinesh also has extensive links with PPE manufacturers, agents, suppliers, and buyers, all of whom are committed to the highest environmental and ethical standards and practices.

Lalji Premji Vekaria

laljiA Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a former Board Director of West London Business, Lalji is an accomplished and award-winning architect and master planner.

Lalji has been responsible for designing, leading, and managing, the successful completion of multi-million pounds sterling complex and diverse, private, and public sector civil engineering, infrastructure, and economic development projects.

These major project demand a broad technical understanding of all engineering and design detail associated with complex projects, with overall responsibility for time, cost, quality, and safety and include: China – Beijing ($80m), Vietnam – Southfork ($300m), Woolwich Complex (£19m), London eye (£175m), New Airport at Tamale, Ghana (£100m), Smart City Project in India (£50 Billion) and Zero Carbon City in South Korea (£5 Billion).

Working with Ash Verma, Lalji supports suitable SMEs to access supply chains, project, and investment opportunities in the UK and overseas, focusing on business planning, market research and facilitating investor meetings and launches.

Lalji also provides advice and guidance to small and large organisations to examine and implement physical and environmental changes in workplaces due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental sustainability measures.

Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet SinghGurpreet, a former business and IT specialist, is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist who works with clients from different backgrounds to help them through the difficult parts of their life.

Gurpreet gives talks for senior executive teams on how to resolve arguments and has worked  with clients and organisations from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds in UK, Singapore, UAE, USA, and India.

Apart from public speaking roles, Gurpreet delivers workshops in soft skills to create healthier and more resilient organisations. Topics include communication, stress management, anger management and dealing with organisational grief.

He has appeared in many news channels, magazines, national newspapers, radio talk shows and other public events to talk about mental health and related topics, including the BBC, The Economist, Zee TV, Daily Mirror, The Times, The Guardian, Financial Times, New Statesman, Huffington Post, and others.

Before changing profession eight years ago, Gurpreet worked on innovative and high-profile technology infrastructure and software projects in multinationals and government organisations.
