Our connection with you Ash began 15 years ago whilst you were Chair of Harrow in Business, and you met our CEO Deven Pillay. The partnership truly cemented when your organisation won the Healthwatch Harrow contract. We offered space at our Head Office to run Healthwatch Harrow and collaborated closely with you and the team on many joint initiatives to ensure the voice of Harrow residents were heard in relation to their views and experiences of health and social care services. Fast forward a few years and Harrow in Business became Enterprise Wellness Ltd and merged with Community Connex (Harrow Mencap as it was then) and you and Barry Pritchard became trustees in 2018 and Chair in 2022. You played a pivotal role overseeing our transformation from Harrow Mencap to Community Connex, helped us grow and guided us through our recovery after the Covid pandemic.
You have been a true steward and ambassador of this organisation, bringing a calm hand under pressure (nothing phases Ash) and a commitment that has set the bar high for us all. Ash has strengthened the governance of the organisation through his strategic insight, business, and political acumen.
As Chair he has galvanised the trustees making sure there was collective responsibility through an amazing knack of bringing people together. You have led us with integrity, passion, and immense dedication.
Thank you, Ash, for your unwavering commitment, your wisdom, and your friendship. It is sad to see you go. We wish you a wonderful, relaxing, and successful time ahead with your various ventures.
